NOMAD are a trio comprising two folks familiar to FOCSLE Music frequenters, plus a musician less known to us. ALAN SLIPPER (vocal, guitar) attends about half our meets, often along with his wife HEATHER (vocal, 2nd guitar, fiddle, whistles). Banjoist JIM BROWN spends part of his year in Canada, hence NOMAD perform only part of each year. Songs and some tunes in traditional styles from several cultures, mostly American Old Time, English & Celtic.
As usual, a singaround will precede the guests' part of the evening. Also as usual, no formal entry charge: we Pass-the-Hat to pay the musicians, and run our usual [voluntary participation] raffle with, at minimum, an alcohol prize (plus confectionery, if attendance numbers warrant).
