  extra Tues. LIVE at The Wellington Arms, 8pm:  Songwriters'/Poetry Singaround

An extra Tues. to keep the 'pattern' of SOMEthing folk-ish happening every week [the following Friday would have been a meet-night at “The First”, but it was the extended Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend;  The Doghouse got double-booked].

For variety, this was a Songwriters’ & Poets’ Singaround, to include material BY noted songwriters and poets, tho' very few of those present, most of whom DO write their own songs, performed them [perhaps considering themselves not ‘up there’ with the greats;  that doesn’t dismiss them as “songwriters”, tho’].  At his suggestion, we experimented with “Con” Connell interspersing each turn with a short verse, to ensure poetry was represented.
