Second Tues. of the month = Singaround at The Dog [38, Earls Rd, Bevois Valley SO14 6SF], following the calendar pattern of SECOND & FOURTH TUESDAYS.
Going round the room one turn at a time, with others joining in where appropriate. Bring your favourite songs, tunes, poems, etc. Looking forward to seeing you.
We’ll be having a visit from atmospheric-voiced guitarist from Kent, Paul Steele. Regular attenders of our Zoom sessions will be familiar with his intensely-delivered offerings: interesting, lyrics-centric repertoire. He’ll get the opportunity of an extra number each time his turn comes round, as we did with Althea Willette, from the US, a few weeks ago.
Also among us will be SHIRLEY KNOT (John Connell, Rosie Marshall, John Miller, Rob Wilson), FOCSLE Music’s quasi-‘House Band’. Expect plenty of stirring 4-part a capella harmony, begging your participation.
Usual extras: raffle, with alcohol and [normally] confectionery prize(s); cosy intimate space, with good acoustics; informative, entertaining between-song chat; general good humour.

[because, VERY occasionally, we may have to cede a second Tues. meet to another venue user, and decamp elsewhere]. So these mooted Singarounds may morph into Guest nights, as we ink in guest schedules and as guests get more confident / cavalier about attending events in smaller spaces.

The shadow of COVID. Still not beat, but case-estimates are dropping rapidly in So’ton region. However, sudden spikes could cause short-notice cancellation at any time. Case-rates of 7.5% in the Southampton region, OR 10% in any of these nearby regions [which fall within 15 miles], if they have over 1,000 study-contributors: New Forest, Wiltshire, Test Valley, Eastleigh, Winchester, East Hants., Fareham, Gosport, Portsmouth, would trigger automatic cancellation [currently, these surrounding regions are not threatening these levels, but Portsmouth is still over 4%].
