OK: to the real business… To maintain in-person music every week, we shift the pattern of Weds., just for June, to avoid The Dog’s and The Welly’s events being on two consecutive nights, twice in the month. This will unavoidably overlap with the Zoom sessions. Live FOCSLE Music will be a themed Singaround. Songs, poems, etc., referencing NEWSPAPER TITLES*, or HIGH [if not both at once] welcome. Our MC for the evening will be accomplished singer, guitarist and songwriter Jonathan Klein. * ideally, terminology, not placenames [so, e.g. "Star" / "Echo", rather than Toronto / Liverpool]. The usual other gubbins on hand, too: raffle, with alcohol [and, often, confectionery] prize(s); warm, welcoming atmosphere; intelligent and entertaining between-song chat; wide range of genres and approaches.
